     Last page of the calendar. Last month for the year 2012. The most awaited month every year. Not everybody does but almost everyone. It is the most anticipated month of the year because it has something that any month can't have. It has the most loved and most cherished celebration that any man can't ever forget. And this celebration is none other than what we call, CHRISTMAS.

      Every time I hear this nine-letter word, I always think of Jesus Christ' birthday, gifts, Christmas parties, decorations, and of course, SANTA CLAUS even though I'm not sure if he truly exists. But what is the true meaning or essence of this day? Is it the material things we receive from our loved ones?

      "But I am sure that I have always thought of Christmas time, when it has come round... as a good time; a kind, forgiving, charitable, pleasant time; the only time I know of, in the long calendar of the year, when men and women seem by one consent to open their shut-up hearts freely." ~ Charles Dickens. 

      Christmas is a kind, forgiving, charitable, and pleasant time for us people. Kind and forgiving. Why? In my own point of view, even we don't want to admit the fact that we more appreciate these words when Christmas comes along, we can't hide the mystery behind "Pasko na. Magkabati na kayo." to us Filipinos. Isn't it ironic that you have forgiven that person because it's Christmas time? Isn't it more meaningful if we forgive from the bottom of our hearts? That point of view may sound contradicting to the statement but that is the truth. Let me go to the positive side of the statement. It is kind and forgiving because the essence and the joy of Christmas will be attained fully if we don't have any heartaches and unresolved problems on that day. We should spread love at the greatest. Charitable. Christmas is all about sharing. Material things don't matter as big deal as you want it to be. But the things that couldn't be seen but felt. Share your love to everyone. I believe that love is the root of every care unto neighbors in this world. Pleasant time. Sometimes, it happens that this day is allotted to be the grand reunion to either families or friends. And time to put up Christmas parties to be enjoyed by everyone. But bear in mind that it is not also about how elegant the party is. What matters is we are HAVING FUN.

     Christmas is the only time I know of, in the long calendar of the year, when men and women seem by one consent to open their shut-up hearts freely. It is related to forgiving. It is about solving and closing misunderstandings between man and woman. It is about giving each other chances to change for the better.

     The true essence of Christmas is within our hearts. It depends on how we treasure people who are always  with us in keeping life meaningful. Because life is a jigsaw puzzle. Everyone is here because he or she has a place to fill. It depends on how we show our tender love and care to Him. If we know how to do it, for sure, we will have the most unforgettable holiday we ever had. :)

EQUALITY | Let It Reign :>

      Equality. The state of being equal. The act of being fair. One thing that could build PEACE in the whole universe. We don't need to judge differences. We need to respect differences. We all have rights. And that right is to be treated well as a person. We were born with the same atmosphere and likewise to our Father. We may differ to personalities and lifestyles. But that doesn't mean we are going to sort out people and treat them in terms of their state. And that is totally wrong. Let me share a quotation pertaining to equality which will hopefully wake every minds.

     “Men are from Earth, women are from Earth. Deal with it.” ~ George Carlin

     As I saw that from web, I never hesitate to turn to the next page. Hence, I copied the quotation. Why? Because it simply rang my mind. With that, scenes crept to my mind. We all know that we are living in the same land. But how come people can't ponder upon the word EQUALITY? 

     I can't hide the fact that discrimination is within the universe. It swallows the heart of people. And that shouldn't last long. From the quotation itself, it simply wants to bring out the real meaning of socialization. We need to deal with it. Socializing isn't finding somebody to hang on so that you can be famous, to look elegant, and to be always "in". It is all about accepting your neighbors to who they really are and respecting their strengths and weaknesses. Discriminating is such a virus that should be detected quick and be deleted from our system. 

     As far as I can remember, I have once met a girl who kept on hanging out to people with a name in the society. She shows good image to them of course. But I am shocked when I saw how she treats other people. She seemed like a BOSS but when she is with her friends, she metamorphosed into an angel like she is too good enough. That's why, others are afraid of her and they can't go near her. From that, I stood up and talked to them. I told them, "Why are you afraid of her? You are both human and inhaling the same oxygen. She is NO ONE to treat you like that. She has no any idea about your right as human. You should make a move to wake up her mind and change for the better. Show her that you can fight for your own rights and you will never back her off. Because if you kept on showing that you are weak and afraid of her, she will continue in treating you like that."

    Days passed. Good news that I could smell a change in my atmosphere. Equality seemed to reign soon. No discrimination but LOVE towards neighbors. Any color. Any state. :> Equal rights. Equal opportunities.

Burning Thousand Lives -____-"

     Climate change. Since then, I am hearing about this and I am too familiar about it. Something like it is not new to me anymore. We all know that climate is the weather averaged over a long period of time. But then, because of uncertainties and nature abuse by humans, CLIMATE CHANGE was born resulting to different calamities and other harmful effects that can lead to DEATH. However, everyone can save Mother Earth suffering from this illness. Everyone can be a hero to its own field. And I can rescue my own by doing something. By walking my talk. To start the notion, I am twisting my brain trying to come up with an appropriate solution to the problem. As a normal citizen, I can respond to climate change by figuring out first what are the roots of the problem. Like, asking myself how did it exist. How?

     As I tried to look for resources, I have known the cause. The main cause to be exact. It is due to the human expansion of the said greenhouse effect which greatly affects the ozone layer that coats our whole land. I also checked how this greenhouse effect made possible. First, water vapor. This contributes in the formation of the mentioned effect. Water vapor increases as the Earth's atmosphere warms, but so does the possibility of clouds and precipitation, making these some of the most important feedback mechanisms to the greenhouse effect. Second, carbon dioxide. A minor but very important component of the atmosphere, carbon dioxide is released through natural processes such as respiration and volcano eruptions and through human activities such as deforestation, land use changes, and burning fossil fuels. Humans have increased atmospheric CO₂ concentration by a third since the Industrial Revolution began. This is the most important long-lived "forcing" of climate change. Third, methane. A hydrocarbon gas produced both through natural sources and human activities, including the decomposition of wastes in landfills, agriculture, and especially rice cultivation, as well as ruminant digestion and manure management associated with domestic livestock. On a molecule-for-molecule basis, methane is a far more active greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide, but also one which is much less abundant in the atmosphere. Fourth, nitrous oxide. A powerful greenhouse gas produced by soil cultivation practices, especially the use of commercial and organic fertilizers, fossil fuel combustion, nitric acid production, and biomass burning. Last but not the least, chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs). Synthetic compounds of entirely of industrial origin used in a number of applications, but now largely regulated in production and release to the atmosphere by international agreement for their ability to contribute to destruction of the ozone layer. They are also greenhouse gases.

    Knowing all of that facts, I can surely make plans. Step two will now follow. 

    Imagine the whole world suffering from terminal climate change. Imagine sobbing Mother Earth, pleading unto its people. It is like, your mother begging you to stop your rebel. Can you tolerate such human activities that can totally annihilate the whole land? Specifically, our whole LIFE. As a traveler in this world, I now take this privilege to speak. What am I gonna do to make things in order?

    I should join in any campaign regarding saving Mother Earth such as tree planting. I should be good in encouraging everyone to join too and be much aware about the current situation. I should lead in promoting the never fading 3Rs which is REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE. I will participate to programs stopping illegal human acts which greatly utilize that said greenhouse effect.

    In thousand years, the world could live good. Only if we, the stewards know the responsibilities to make it possible. We can do something even in our little ways. A simple concern with a touch of response to make it better is a big thing. One burning plastic is equal to millions of ended lives. Let love reign. Let abuse be erased in everyone's heart. Our future is in our hands.

Second Round of My Battle :)

     Five months had passed by. I am still strong enough, continue fighting my started battle. For the second round, I unlocked a new world. A new set of challenges. A new set of discoveries. I encountered the world of Hypertext Mark up Language. Everything is new. Every detail of it is a gain for me. What is its function, purpose, kinds, editors, and commands that it can execute dependently and independently.

   In dealing with the topic, I sometimes lose my patience in typing the tags manually. That's why I am tempted to do the copy paste shortcut keys for faster work. With the lesson, I didn't find it super mega difficult. It is instead fun to do. You have that feeling of gaining and gaining knowledge everyday. I am enjoying every ICT period with this. So much. Doing our 2nd quarter project is the most thrilling chapter of my second battle. It is when we rushed everything just to pass it on time. Yes, ON TIME. Our group didn't use time wisely so we ended up cramming the project. And thumbs up for us. We did it. HOORAY!

    I addressed the problems by expanding by patience at most. I am keeping in mind that I can do it. Just enjoy the thing. Something like that. I never fail to cheer myself up when I can feel it breaking down. I am doing my best to understand every lesson tackled and to master every commands that the tags can execute.

    Moving on, I will do my best still. Just like in a race, I am still on my 2nd lap out of 4 laps. Two more to go. I will continue striving hard to be consistent to what I started and I only wish for the best to happen. I will pursue my journey to be in my right destination. Another GOOD LUCK to me.

English Proficiency for Competence :>

      UPHOLDING ENGLISH PROFICIENCY FOR COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE. A great signage to widen up people's awareness about the importance of the universal language. We all know that any nationality can use this medium that is why it is considered as universal. 

      Being proficient in English is a privilege to open a good flow of your race. Let me have some examples for better understanding. Professionals may look more professional if they are proficient enough to impress clients. From that, they can receive promotions or maybe they could be consistent on their chosen jobs. Also with call center agents.They will not be able to have an excellent performance to have THUMBS UP remarks to their BOSS if they are not proficient.Most of all, they can't communicate well to other nationalities if they don't. As a result, there will be no clients and worse, no more job.

     For youngsters like me should learn English as a steppingstone to aim what we want to aim.To dream as high as the highest mountain could be. Start today so that we will not encounter any difficulty in dealing with the language. If we do, expect people who will look at you with their amazed expression. And all they could say, "WOW". We should be the proudest by then. We will not be getting hard time too to search for any job.
     If we wish to travel to English countries,we can socialize to the people living there well. With all that poise and fluent in speaking the language.As if you are a native American or Englishman.Wherever we go, we can deal with any nationality due to the fact that we are proficient.

   With that positive outcomes I conclude, IF THERE IS ENGLISH PROFICIENCY, THERE IS COMPETENCE.

    

Stewards of the Land :)

     Recent Science month celebration revolves around the theme: Energizing Science Clubbers for Sustainable Energy. SCIENTRICITY is the portmanteau of the words "science" and "electricity". These words seemed to be real connected to each other. They are dependent to each other. Electricity is one source of Science and likewise to science. Science is the source of electricity. With the theme, Science clubbers are needed or should I say required to collaborate to the point that they would be more active in the sustainability of energy sources. So, what are these "ENERGY SOURCES" I am talking about? We have biomass, natural gas, hydro power, coal,wind, uranium, geothermal and solar. Examples mentioned are some of the energy sources,though we have more. How useful these energy sources to us human beings? 

     Those energy sources mentioned above are very useful to us in such way that their common uses is to provide us electricity. We all know that we can't live life comfortably without electricity, right? We are full of complains if there are "BROWNOUTS". Its like we wish to go to Alaska instantly. Moving on, what can we do to consume these resources by the way? Simple. Responsibility of science clubbers now intrudes the scenario. Great responsibility that could be a big help to sustain energy. Science clubbers should have the initiative to lead others first and foremost on how to preserve these energy sources so that it will not a cause a big problem to us. Second, should be leaders in consuming the resources intellectually. 

     Science clubbers should be the police officers to those who don't have any idea on how to use the resources properly. They should take the task. They should stand as a deserving Science clubber. And one thing.We can be all SCIENCE CLUBBERS in our own ways. Maybe you'd think that you don't have the name so you are excused in doing so. Well, you're definitely WRONG. We are stewards of this land so we are going to do our parts responsibly.

BEST TOUR GUIDE =)

     I am imagining myself, the time that I need to go out from the four corners of my crib. When I learned how to stand,walk and one thing's missing then I'll be complete then. I need to be fed up by knowledge. I need to learn to know those WHATs, WHYs, HOWs, WHENs, WHEREs and WHOs around me. Because as I grow up, my curiosity widens up too. Obviously, I can't do this task alone. Along my learning, I have somebody with me. Someone whom I owe a lot. From this point, how did these SOMEBODY touched my life? What changes did these somebody brought into me? What can I say to them as gratitude for entering my life?

    How did these somebody touched my life? Everyday of my life, I am going to an institution which I call my second home. And from there, I can find my second parents which are my mentors. My educators. They are the ones whom I am encountering every morning and whom I am giving sweet morning greetings. They touched my life playing the role of becoming my tour guide in my travel to success. Above all, the best ones. Best tour guide ever. They cannot allow me to be feeling bored along the way. Furthermore, they touched my life by feeding me lessons to learn to live good and fairly. These fellas are pretty amazing. They can be awake 24 hours just to help me reach my own star. In other words, they can SACRIFICE a LOT for me. And I should  pay their hard works too.

     What changes did these somebody brought into me? A person can only change by the influences of his neighbor and his willingness to change whether good or bad. Now, as my teachers entered my life, I admit that they have the greatest contribution for me to change my wrong doings. Yes they are. From them, I can correct my mistakes. I can learn from their shared experiences. I got moral with me because of them. They are the ones who can make me realize realities if I am drowned of fantasies.

     What can I say to them as gratitude for entering my life?Above all, I want to extend my greatest gratitude to you my heroes. I want you to know how grateful am I when you entered my life and served as my light in every dim way I trod on. Thank you for sharing so much of your time. Thank you for all the efforts you made. I salute you, my heroes, for being the best :) You will always be remembered because you contributed a lot to me especially to my personality.
     You always have this open heart to accommodate me whenever I need someone to understand and a listener. You never fail to be there to comfort in times of trouble and whenever I need counseling. You are also there in times of having good things like laugh trips :) Lastly, I want to say that NO WORDS CAN DESCRIBE HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU my dear mentors. You mean so much to me.Thank you infinity ♥

SUPERaedenprelezcious ♥

      I can never learn to laugh as crazy as I can be. That feeling when you are excited to go out of your room because you're gonna hang out with them. In every tick tock of my clock, they are the ones who make it worth keeping. I always have this feeling of satisfaction and blissfulness every time I am with them. Just so you know, they are my sweetest company of all.

     Way back September 24, 2010. I had the chance to meet these fellas.Cool fellas. I don't know but the feeling's unexplainable. Its like we are tied with heartstrings. We are very comfortable to have each others company. I am afraid sometime that I may love these pretty girls on the road of my existence more than my real sisters. I can't count how many foolish things and memorable ones we've made already. We've made and we've shared. Days we relished much. 

     What's amazing about them is that, they can never leave you out of the blue. They are always there for me and might as well I am. Extraordinary. These kind of beings are rare I guess. Ones who truly understands no matter what. We have open hearts and minds to solve problems quick. Aggressive. Yes, they are. Aggressive in the sense that they can't let you suffer much hence they will act like they were the ones hurt. They are fiercer than me. Likewise to me if they are hurt or one of them got hurt by someone then I know that she doesn't deserve it though.

     They are my superheroes because they have these superpowers with them.They can transform into a handkerchief, puppet, and footwear. HANDKERCHIEF, whenever I cry thousand rivers, they will always be there to wipe my tears. Never get soaked. PUPPET, they are the reason behind those unending laughs. Laugh until my stomach hurts and face turns red. FOOTWEAR, I never get tired walking because I am feeling comfortable with them. Like in an outfit, footwear makes you look completely fashionable. Just like them. They complete my life, ones who give color to my spinning world and make life worth living for.

     Now, I want to go to the highest mountain and do the shout out. I want to utter these sweet words straightly, the whole world will hear ~ "Hey fellas! I got the most powerful heroes with me. Superheroes who were pretty amazing. I want you to know how big the space they occupy in my heart. I am so LUCKY to have them. I am proud of my best friends. I love you infinity and beyond." :)

TALK and Be PROUD :)

      Can you imagine a country without something like "universal language"? Will there be peace? Will there be unity?

     A country should have a national language.Despite the fact that they have different dialects, people should use and value their national language. Likewise here in the Philippines. It is composed of 7, 107 islands and grouped into three which is the Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.We may have various dialects, there is a language that is binding us as one. We have this thing so that we could have better understanding to anyone's opinions and beliefs.

     We follow and use one language on order to attain and maintain peace among us. In that way, we will be socially healthy. There will be strong bond and camaraderie among us.

     As I can recall from Jose Rizal's novel "El Filibusterismo", there is a chapter there that says "Spanish will make the Filipinos unite" and they have to put up "Akademya ng Wikang Kastila". But Basilio (one of the characters of the novel) insisted because we are not Spaniards to learn and use that language which is very true. We should be proud of our own language. It symbolizes what our nationality is. It will unite us as one.

     In strengthening this language, it definitely shows our love to our country. A sense of nationalism. For today's "Buwan ng Wika" celebration, we will become aware that our language is a tool who needs love and care. For this is the key to attain peace and unity among us and will prove that we are PROUD TO BE FILIPINOS. ♥ 

First Round of My Battle ;)

    It seems like only yesterday when I started to enter the world of being a Senior. A graduating student. As we travel to finish line, I came to ask myself what are the learnings and discoveries that I have gained this first quarter or should I say first round of the battle? Well, I got too many. First round still but gained too much I bet. I learned more about the history of Internet. Its a must to know the history because I am using this often. Its like "getting-to-know-each-other" stage. And the most lovable part of mine during this quarter, when our teacher started to introduce all about BLOGGING. Yes, it is the best part. I began to explore the world of expressing my insights through writing or composing blogs. In that way, I'm starting to like writing more. No. Scratch that. Starting to love writing more and more.

   In every travel,we can't resist encountering circumstances. For the history of the Internet, memorizing every thats and this' of it totally making me sick. Every information matters. Once forgotten, FAIL mark for my grade in my quizzes. :( But GOD is good. He gave me capability to memorize. Never had a failing score. It may not be perfect at least, I PASSED. In the blogging part, I am having difficulties in my vocabulary. In my level, I should deal with deeper words more. Sometimes, I am encountering grammatical errors. No big deal anyway. I'm not an English spokening fella. There's no harm in trying. I stand to be corrected in case. 

   Problems are not made with no corresponding solution. I am proud of myself for crossing long bridges. Bridges that made my head burst and gave me some sleepless nights. Patience and determination to learn are my keys in addressing those problems I've met along the way. These became as my armors in smashing out opponents. I believed in myself and everytime I feel like giving up, I'll do everything to cheer myself up. Tell myself that "I CAN DO THIS.YES I CAN". 

   Moving on, I will strive harder for the next round of my battle. I will use the lessons I got when I stumble in my journey. I still can't say nor conclude that I had already did my best because I can't feel any sense of victory in my battle. I am looking forward to new lessons and problems to learn and cross. I am expecting to have deeper and more exciting topics. Good luck to myself.

State of the Nation Address the Third

      July 23, 2012 when President Benigno Simeon Cojuangco Aquino III had his third State of the Nation Address (SONA) delivered at the Session Hall of the House of the Representatives, Batasan Pambansa Complex, Quezon City. I wasn't able to watch him deliver that day so I read his speech through Internet as remedy.

      As I go on with my reading, I got my eyes widen up. I have this can't-believe-expression. Its unbelievable that Philippines is taking its way to progress and prosperity. According to him,even one of the leaders of ASEAN 100 said that we may even become "ASIA'S NEXT TIGER".

      Up to now, he kept on calling Filipinos his BOSS. In every improvement of every Filipino life, he claims that its because they are the ones behind it not him whenever they thank him for it. 

         In his SONA, he mentioned about the development of the Philippines under his administration for the past 2 years. I can sense progress because of the positive changes occurred in economy, health, etc. I salute him again to his statement that has a thought of CRITICISM was built first during his starting career because people thought he's doing nothing. But he has behind the scenes. In other words, people don't appreciate the good ones but the negative ones. Philippines' achievements presented was great. Epically awesome. How I wish this will pursue to our star. To aim what we deserve to be.

       Aside from the accomplished plans and on going plans, there is another trend controversy or issue about that held SONA. According to others, the said event became a fashion show for the guests who attended. They wore different glamourous Barongs and Filipinianas which should not be. Yes, they should be in formal dresses but they should be simple. As I can remember, one senator did not attend the session because he expected that to happen. For him, their purpose in attending was to show elegance.

     Afterall, President Aquino made success in stating his third SONA. Filipinos are counting to his future plans. I'll look forward for that.

      Aim high, fly soar Philippines :)

       Proper nutrition is the number one priority of a human being. Life starts with healthy lifestyle . Did you try asking yourself, what if there is no vegetables and fruits existing in this world? Can anyone of us live up to 1 day or even a week breathing oxygen? Can we cross eternal life if we lack those vitamins we can get from them? Definitely not. No one can.
      It is essential for us to have vegetables with us every meal.Especially for young children. Parents should refrain from giving junk foods instead,they should have strategies in cooking so that young children will love vegetables. It is better to supply them or provide them proper nutrition before it is too late. Despite from the fact that vegetables may cost high,parents should think and put health on top of their list. Indeed, they will suffer more, once their child or children will have such deficiencies or diseases. Without vegetables with us is like living a year without rain. It will affect our body badly.
     Some may hate vegetables for various reasons.It can be on its taste. As a result, they may become anemic. Unfortunately, a person who hates vegetables can affect his/her future. What is tomorrow if you're prone to sickness? Of course nothing. As in zilch.
     Thanks JULY for existing. Month to emphasize the importance of having proper nutrition together with healthy lifestyle. I can't last for 15 years breathing and enjoying the same oxygen with you if there's no vegetables in my meal everyday.These things were born to be loved, VALUED and appreciated. Once you can't value such stuffs, you never know how to value life bestowed upon us.

I Want to Say...

Dear Sir,

In the middle of the night one time, I came to picture out a nation without a leader to follow. without a leader to serve the people. That's when I realized that a country without a leader, natch, there will never be organization among people and peaceful life. Indeed, people undergo elections to elect deserving personalities to rule the whole society. Especially the sit for "President". A person to influence or restricts your actions in a way that is good for you.

Today's Philippine administration is under your care, Sir. People gave their whole trusts unto you and I hope you'll never upset them and downgrade the trust they gave.

For now Sir, I want to say THANK YOU for some reasons.

Thank you for accepting the challenge to run for the candidacy for presidency. Thanks for grabbing the opportunity. Thanks for being a good president, a good ruler. An excellent provider, even. Some may say that you aren't doing something for our welfare. But then again, I'm not after their opinions. I contradict them.

I think they have no valid reasons for that. They judge you for what they see through media. They really don't know your actions behind those camcorders. I may not know it though, hence I can feel it. Your parents were such a good leaders and followers for you to imitate so its impossible that you're not doing a great job.

If only I have the chance to meet you, Mr. President, I would say thank you in the first place. I want to blurt out and let everybody know that you're a silent worker. "Don't judge a book by its cover" as they say.

Keep on proving yourself Sir. Keep on sharing endless service and dedication to fulfill our nation's needs. I do believe in you Sir, no matter what.
